To the Constable, Tythingman, or other Officer of the Peace
of St. Geor. Hanr Square in the said

[..] Wardens, Chapelwardens, or Overseers of
[..] of the Parish of Saint James in the
[..] ty of Bristol in the County of
Somerset or either of them, to receive and obey.

WHEREAS Margaret Davy
was
apprehended in the Parish of St. George Hanr. Square
as a Rogue and Vagabond , viz,
there found Wandering and begging
and upon Examination of the said Margaret Davy< no role >
taken before me
One of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
in and for the said County of Middlesex upon Oath
(which Examination is hereunto annexed) it doth appear, that The
place of the last legal Settlement of the said
Margaret Davy< no role > is in the Parish of Saint
James in the City of Bristol in the County of Somerset
These are therefore to require you the said Constable, Tything
man, or other Officer of the Peace of the said County of
Middlesex to convey the said Margaret
Davey
< no role > to the Town
of Colnbrook in the County
of Bucks that being the first Town in
the next Precinct, through which she ought to pass in the
direct Way to the said Parish of Saint James
to which she is to be sent, and to deliver her to the Con
stable or other Officer of such first Parish in such next
Precinct, together with this Pass, and the Duplicate of the Exami
[..] Margaret Davy taking
And the said Margarent Davy
to be thence conveyed on in like Manner to the said
Parish of Saint James there to be deli
vered to some of the Church-wardens, or Overseers of the Poor of
the same Parish to be there provided for according to Law.

And you the said Church-wardens, Chapel-wardens, and Over
seers of the Poor, are hereby required to receive the said Person,
and provide for her as aforesaid. Given under my Hand and
Seal, the 15th Day of April in the
Year of our Lord 1766.
