Akerman as Gaoler to any Body.?

I believe not, bet on the Contrary the
City pays him £200 a Year.

Who does the Keeper pay the Rent to
for the Top House?

I believe he pays no Rent or Gratuity
whatever to any Body.

I the press Yard Part of the Gaol
or not?

Prisoners are there - the not part of
the Gaol- No from has a light to go
into it without agreeing with Mr. Akerman
for his Fee and which was setled by the
Court of Aldermen at £3 6s.8d or
there a borths & which he takes by Contrary
from the prisoner for letting him come
ints that place.

Do You know of any Fees Rents or
Perquisites arising from Newgate to the
County of Middlesex .?

I know of one - or to the City of London
recept what paid for the press Yard?

Whether if any prisoners charged there goes
out of the Limits of the Old Gaol it is not
an escape ?

Never saw or knew a prisoner for Debt
confined in the press Yard ?

Would it not be an Escape ?

Whether if a person in Execution taken
out of the Limits of the [..] Gaol it would
be an Escape?

Yes.

Whether a person prosecuting any person
for felony has not a right to demand such
person to be removed from another Gaol to
Newgate.

I think every person Committed for
Felony ought to be Committed to the County
Gaol and no other & it is a Mather of
favour to Commit them to any other Gaol
I think there's An Act in Harry the 5th
