Whereas by Certain Indentares of apprenticeship bearing date the Third day of September
One thousand seven hundred and Sixty one James Saunders< no role > the younger son of James Saunders< no role > of
the Parish of saint George the Martyr in the Borough of Southwark in the County of Surry
Cordwainer did by the with the Consent of the said Father Party thereto put himself apprentice to
John Clarke< no role > of the Parish of Saint Olave south wark a foresaid Baker to Learn his art and with him
after the Manner of an apprentice to serve from the day of the date thereof unto the full end and Tern of
seven years and the said Master in Consideration of such service only thereby Covenanted to Teach and
Instreet the Said Apprentice and to find and allow him sufficient wholesome Meat Drink apparel
Lodging and all other necessaries washing excepted as by said Indenture relation being thereunto
had will appear And whereas by a Certain Instrument or Deed Poll under the Hands and seals of the
Said John Clarke< no role > James Saunders< no role > the younger and James Saunders< no role > the Elder bearing date the
Sixth day of November one Thousand seven hundred and Sixty four the said Apprentice together with
the said Recited Indenture was for the Consideration of five Shilling paid to the said John Clarke
by Moses Alsep< no role > of the Parish of saint Leonard Shoeditch in the County of Middlesex Baker
assigned and Transferred and Turned over to the said moses alsep for the residue of the said Tern
And Whereas the said Moses Alsep hath upon Oath Complained to us two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace
For the said County of Middlesex against his said apprentice or Turnover of certain misdemeanour
Miscarriages and Ill behaviour and particularly that he hath defranded him of several Sums of
Money in the Way of his Trade and the said Master hath therefore prayed that the said appentice
or Turnover may be discharged from his service and Inployment and Whereas the said apprentice
or Turnover being personally present before us together with his Father above named an acknowledged the
said Complaint to be Just and true and not being un wuling to be so discharged as it is prayed
We the said Justices do therefore by these present as far as in lyes Discharge him the said
Apprentice of and from the said Service and Imployment any thing in the said recited Instrument or
Deed Poll of Assignment or the Indenture thereby Assigned contained notwithstanding Given under
our hands and Seals the Twentieth day of March one thousand seven hundred and Sixty five.
