Lord the King touching the Death of John Ashton< no role > at the Green Man in the Parish of
St. Mathew Bethnal Green on the 18th. day of June 1763 before George Grew< no role > on an
Inquisition then & there taken on View of the Body of the said John Ashton< no role > ; as follows.

John Beane< no role > of Hare street in the parish of St. Mathew Bethnal Green Weaver
on his Oath Saith that right opposite to this Deponents Window where he works at his

onTuesdayMonday the 13th day of June 1763 about 4 in the Afternoon Do saw the deced

saw persons Deponent thinks there in number well grown lads wheel him
about as in play for their Divertion

an Apothecary seing a Crond & Parish Chair by theParishwork house
approached to See & enquire what was the matter & was informed by the
decreted that being in Owens Field aforesaid where there was a pond where in
he sons washing his Leggs or Feet & John Ewen< no role > Master of the Field came up to him & having

directed two boys the name of One, Kings land,to put this deced, in so
Barrow wheel & run the same down a hill sharp hill in the said Field &
