Acton

We the Churchwardens Overseers & Inhabitants of the
parish of Acton Met together in Vestry, taking into Consideration
The Bad state of the Roads in the said Parish And being fully
Satisfied that the same cannot be thoroughly repaired by the
Usual Methods appointed by Law, Do hereby Desire Samuel
Wegg
< no role > , and Henry Lambe< no role > Esquires , Surveyors of the Highways
of the said Parish to apply to the Next Sessions of the Peace to
be holden for this County of Middlesex , to Obtain a Rate of three
-pence in the Pound upon the several Occupiers of Houses Lards Etc
in the said Parish to be applied to the Repairation and
Amondment of the said Roads
