To the Worshipful His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex in their General Session of the Peace
Assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of New Windsor in the County
of Berks.

Sheweth.


That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under
the Stand and Seal of Thomas Balack< no role > Esquire One
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex bearing date the Twenty Sixth Day of
April 1762. Ann Lee< no role > Widow of Robert Lee< no role > deceased
Apprehended in the Parish of Saint Martin in the
Fields in the County of Middlesex as a Rogue & Vagabond
(Videlicet) wandring and Lodging in the Open Air
Contrary to the Statute in that Case made and Provided
was removed from the said Parish of Saint Martin in the
Fields in the said County of Middlesex to the said Parish
of New Windsor in the said County of Berks as the last
Legal Place of Settlement of the said Ann Lee< no role > the
Vagrant above named Whereby Your Petitioners
think themselves Aggrieved and Appeal to this Court
against the same.

Your Petitioners therefore humbly
Pray that this Court will be Pleased
to Appoint a day in this Present
Session for the Hearing & Determining
