The Information of Joseph Dingley< no role >
of the Angel at Islington Taken
before me this 30th. Octr. 1761

Who being on Oath says that on Sunday Night last
about seven o Clock two Gentlemen called at his House
and informed him that they had Just seen Robbed by
three Highwaymen Vizt. one Mounted on a Grey Horse,
oneon a Grizel or Roan Horse and the third
on a brown or dark bay, and said that said Highwaymen
Rode off towards the new Road Turnpikes, says that in
abouttentwenty Minutes after this, he this Informt. sett out
himself and [..] when he came to the Road
Turnpike, he asked if three Horses described as above
had gone through there, that the Turnpikeman
Told him yes, that he then went on to the Turnpike near
sd. John Oldcastles< no role > , where he enquired as above whether
such three Men and Horses had gone through there
and that the Turnpikemam answered yes, says that
he then went to Grays Inn Lane and into Holborn
that he there enquired at several Time whether such
Persons as above described had came in there, says
that on his enquiring at the Horse and Groom the
comes of Leather Lane Holborn , the Landlord Told
him that three Men Mounted on Horses as
above described had very lately come in to his House
