the Deponent's desire then bled Capt. Jasper who seem'd
So much better by the bleeding as to move his Eyes and
Lips and shew'd visible Signs of Life, Deponent & Dr.
Power wrote a Prescription for a Cordial Julep to be given
Capt. Jasper the Recipe of which was given to and made
up by Mr. Woolaston, Deponent then beg'd the Master of
the House that Capt. Jaspar might be put into a proper
Bed and as Depont. then thought Capt. Jasper some what
better he went with Dr. Power to the House of the
Worshipfull Mr. Feilding to give an Account of the situation
of Capt. Jasper to the Justice Depont. visited Capt. Jasper
at ½ an hour after 6 that Evening found him considerably
better & sensible so as to speak distinctly to this Depont.
Depont. ask'd Capt. Jasper in the Presence of Dr. Power
Mr Ford Mr. Woolaston and Mr. Perkins Surgeons, two
other Gentlemen & a Woman Nurse the following Questions
(Viz) Pray Capt Jasper do you Know Me. (Answer) Yes My
Dear freind Johnny I know you very well. ( Question). How
Came You by this Affairr, (Answer,) It was entirely my own
Seeking, (Question,) Do You think that Mr. Brice had any
Malice
