The Several Informations of Venner Hartcup< no role >
Isaac Graydon< no role > and William Groom< no role > taken and
acknowledged on Behalf of our Sovereign Lord the King
touching the Death of James Hogan< no role > at the Riseing Sun
in little Turnstile Holborn on the 16th. day of April
1761 before me George Grace< no role > on an Inquisition then &
there taken on View of the Body of the Said James Hogan< no role >
as under written.

Isaac Craydon< no role > of an Independent Company now lying at
Harrow on the Hill his Oath says that last Monday fortnight
Vizt. the 30th. Day of March last this Depont. & the desed James
Hogan
< no role > & One Thomas Sheppard< no role > were with several Others in a
Skittle Ground belonging to the House of Thos Bevan< no role > called the
3 Compasses in Jews Row Chelsea where & when a dispute arose
about a Penny between James Hogan< no role > the desed and Stranger
who came into the sd Skittle Ground with One Thomas
Sheppard
< no role > . Thos Sheppard< no role > took Hogan by the Collar without
provocation to Given to Sheppard tript up Hogans heels & thre
him on the Ground, Hogan gott up from the Ground & Sheppard
took Hogan by the Collar again & demanded of Hogan to pay the
Penny to the Stranger Hogan said he had not lost any thing to
him
