Informations of Witnesses taken & Acknow-
-leged on behalf of our Sovereign Ld. the King
touching the death of Jno. Fowler< no role > at the sign of
the Ballast Lighter in Star Street in the parish
of St. Paul Shadwell in the County of Middx
the 17th. day of Novr. in the first year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Ld. George the 3d before
Edwd. Umfreville< no role > one of the Coroners of the
said County on an Inquisition then & there taken
on View of the Body of the said Jno. Fowler< no role > then
& there lying dead as follow to wit

Wm. Brown< no role > of St. Paul Shadwell Surgeon . That last
Thursday Night he was called into Examin the head of the
Decedfound a large Wound on the Right side of the head
penetrating the Brain That he Died on Saturday Morning
That the Wound was mortal is the cause of his death

Joseph Guy< no role > Apprentice to Mr. Dulia Waterman in this
parish That last Thursday Night he was standing a Mr. Newpine
door at King James Street in Compn. with Isaac Newton< no role > John
Flatt
< no role > , Wm. Bean< no role > Barry Watts< no role > & Mr Fox & the Deced
who was standing at the Swan Alehouse Door near the Stairs
They were all making a Bonfire upon the Aleh. of some
great News That the Bonfire was lighted with a Far Barrel
upon it or Richd. Rounce< no role > or Roundson < no role > as that call him witt a Beat hook and Staff on
his Shoulder was coming from pelican stairs towards the Bonfire
Sabh. 7 at Night & with his hook beat of the Tar Barrel from the fire & again putthat somebidy out of the Mob but
the staff over his Shoulderthat somebody out of the mob but doth not know whobut is sure it was not Jno. Fowler< no role >
threw a serpent or Squil at Rounce & liet him upon the left Breast
& that Rounce took his Staff from his Shoulder & with
both his hands Struck the Deced on his headSaw his Brains
come thro' his CapThat Isaac Newton< no role > Seis'd Rounce &
other Boys help'd him & Rounce was carried away to the
Watch houseSays Rounce after he had struck off the
