WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto
Us, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex
aforesaid
(one whereof being of the Quorum) by the Church-
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
parish of Saint Luke That
Elizabeth Shergold< no role >
Widow
of
Robert Shergold< no role >
deceased and her three Children
namely
John< no role >
Aged about four years,
James< no role >
aged about
two years and
Elizabeth< no role >
aged about two months
have lately intruded, and
came into the said parish of Saint Luke
and are become chargeable to the same; We
the said Justices, upon Examination of the premises
upon Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the
same to be true, and do also adjudge the Place of the
last legal Settlement of the said Elizabeth Shergold
and her said Children to be in the said parish
of Saint Dunstan in the East
These are therefore, in his Majesty's Name, to
require you, on sight hereof, to remove and
convey the said Elizabeth Shergold< no role >
and her said
three Children
from and out of your said Parish of Saint Luke
to the said parish of Saint Dunston
in the East
and them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and
Overseers of the Poor, there or to some, or one of them,
together with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof,
who are hereby required to receive and provide for
them according to Law. Given under our
Hands and Seals this thirtieth Day of April 1760
