WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch
unto us whose Hands and Seals are
hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace (where-
of one is of the Quorum) for the County afore-
said, that Mary Oliphant and her five Children
namely

aged one year and
upwards have
lately intruded into your said Parish of Saint Leonard
there to inhabit as Parishioner s contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and are there likely to become char-
geable, if not timely prevented: AND WHEREAS, upon due
Examination and Enquiry made into the Premisses, as well by
the Oath of

it appears unto Us, and we accordingly adjudge, that the said

and her said five Children
are
like to become chargeable unto the said Parish of Saint
Leonard
and that the last legal Place of
Settlement of the said

said Children is in the said Parish of
Saint James Westminster
in the said County
of Middlesex
THESE are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and re-
quire you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Saint Leonard
aforesaid, that you
or some of you, do forthwith remove and convey the said
Mary Oliphant< no role >
and her said Children
from your said Parish of Saint
Leonard
to the said Parish of Saint
James Westminster
and them deliver
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some
or one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a
true Copy hereof; whereby they are likewise required, in his
Majesty's Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such case
made, forthwith to receive the said

into their said Parish and provide for them
as their own Parishioner. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals the
