Wells an Apprentice agst. Clarke his Master.

John Wells< no role > the Apprentice above named maketh Oath
that on the 21st. day of February 1755. he was bound an
Apprentice into John Clarke< no role > of Liquorpond Street in the
Parish of St. Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex
Coachmaker for the Term of Seven Years with whom this
Deponent lived untill about a Year ago when the said
John Clarke< no role > being greatly Involved in Debt was Obliged
to Abscond for fear of being Arrested and about Eight
Months ago this Deponent went to live with William
Clarke
< no role > his said Masters Brother a Coachmaker in the Old
Baily London and lived with him there for the Spars
of Six Months or thereabouts and afterwards by his
said Masters Order with One Mr: Dixon a Coach maker
at Rotherhith and lived with him there about a Month
and then this Deponent was informed that his said
Master was gone to Holland with his whole family
whereupon the said Dixon turned this Deponent out of his
Service which was about Christmass last And this Deponent
further Saith that he this Deponent hath since made a Dilligent
Enquiry after his said Master John Clarke< no role > and that he has
been informed by Sundry Persons that the said John Clarks< no role >
was [..] gone with his family to Holland or some other part beyond the Seas which this Deponent
beleives to be true and that the said John Clarke< no role > is still abroad
as this Deponent verily beleives.
