To The Worshipfull Thomas Lane< no role > Esquire
Chairman and others his Majestys Justices of
the Peace For the County of Middlesex
Assembled in their General Session of the
Peace for the said County.

James Sturges Adams< no role > Proposes to Your
Worships To Convey as wells all the Rogues and
Vagabonds apprehended in this County and Committed
to the Bridewells of Clerkenwell and Tothil Fields as
those whose Passage is directed through this County by
Passes to the several places mentioned in such Passes
under such regulations as shall be made by your Worships
for that purpose for the Yearly Sum of One hundred
and Twenty Pounds and Six Pence P Day for the
maintenance of every Vagabond so Passed. The said
One Hundred and Twenty Pounds to be Paid Monthly
and to Commence at such time as Your Worships shall
direct And such six pence to be paid by the Treasurer
of the County upon. Oath made by the said James Sturges
Adams
< no role > of the delivery of such Vagabonds to the Proper
Officer and producing his receipt for the same For the
Performance of which Contract the said James Sturges
Adams
< no role > will give undeniable Security.
