At the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the County of
Middx at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid by adjournment on Thursday the
twenty first day of April in the thirtieth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
second King of Great Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role > George Errington< no role > Bartholomew Hammond< no role >
Francis Bodwell< no role > Esqrs . and others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep
the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other
Misdeeds committed in the same County.

Upon hearing of the Appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St. Martin in the Fields in the Liberty of Westminster and County of Middx against an Order
under the Hands and Seals of John Upton< no role > and P Mowbray Esqr . two of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the City and Liberty of Westminster in the said County (one whereof being
of the Quorum) bearing date the twenty fourth day of February last past whereby Hannah
Smith
< no role > Singlewoman was removed from the Parish of St. George Hanover Square in the
Liberty of Westminster aforesaid to the said Parish of St. Martin in the Fields as the Place
of her last legal Settlement And upon hearing of what was alledged by Mr. Serjt. Hayward of
Council for the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of St. George
anover Square and also by Mr. Mr. Pheadris of Council for the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Martin in the Fields This Court doth disallow of the
said Appeal and doth ratify and confirm the aforesaid Order of the said two Justices of
the Peace and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed accordingly
