By adjournment on Thursday the ninth day of December 1756

Information having been given to this Court that divers loose idle and disorder
Persons being common Players of Interludes have on divers days for someMonthweeks
past assembled themselves together at Hampstead in this County and on such days
Persons for Hire gain and Reward did act represent and perform and did
acted represented and performed divers Interludes Tragedies Comedies Operas [..]
and other Entertainments of the Stage or some Part or Parts therein not being
authorized by Law Therefore it is ordered by this Court that William Watts< no role > Gent High
Constable of Holborn Division do go the Hampstead aforesd as often as occasion shall be and inquir [..]

forthwith forbid and use his utmost Endeavour to prevent the like for the future and if after that there [..] attending in the like man that thefind out the Names of such Persons so offending and also the
of parliament in that respect made be put into execution
or Names of the Person or Persons in whose Houses or on whose Premisses such acting
representing and performing of such Interludes Tragedies Coucedies Operas Plays Forces
other Entertainments of the Stage or some Part or Parts therein not being authorized [..]
