The Information of Rebecca Bates< no role > Spinster
taken before me One of His Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the sd: County

Who being upon Oath says about a month since this
Informant went up in the Lodging of Richd: Jeffreys< no role >
when this Wife [..] told this Informant
[..] that she was Murdered by the Jade his Cousin
[..]
[..] tilling this Informant that [..]
[..] the sd [..] [..] Cousin took hold of her their with
one hand and her left breast with her other and gave
her a thrust on her Body [..] at the same time
[..] these expressions
were accompanied by Tears and Wringing her hands
with all the signs of being in intent hein and Farther
utting this Informant in the hearing of her
Husband who was then present that he incourgged
his Cousin Dove to use her in that manner or word
to that effect which the Husband denying she Eeplyed
oh! you Dog you did, you did The next afternoon
this Informant saw the wife of the sd Jeffreys again
who then shewed his Informant her breast which
appeared in several places black and Yellow
and her forehead was swelled and discoloured and
her face very much Seratched and then Said oh!
that Jade Dove< no role > has been the Cause of my Death
and this Informant salfs that divers times afterwards
the Wife of the sd. Jeffreys charged the sd Dove with
being the Cause of her Death & her Husband with
being the incourager of the sd. Dove when She received
her injury & generaly made use of the word Bogue when
