Apprentice to Joseph Bunn< no role > of White Cross Street in the Parish
of St. Luke Middx White Smith Susan< no role > the Wife of Joseph Phillips< no role >
of Pump Court in the said Parish of Saint Luke in the County aforesd Bucklemaker
Sarah Garrett< no role > of Grub Street in the Parish of St. Giles Cripplegate in the
said County Spinster and Simon Prish< no role > of Swan Alley in the said
Parish of Saint Luke Victualler taken and sworn before me Edward
Umfreville
< no role > Esqr. his Majesty's Coroner for the said County
this third day of April in the year of our Lord 1755 on
an Inquisition taken on View of the Body of Sarah< no role > the
wife of William Lewis< no role > Williams deceased.

This Informant the said Mary Pearson< no role > being duly Sworn Saith
That on Sunday 30th. March last, being Easter Sunday, about 7 in
the Morning, she saw a Man who lodges in the same House
with this Informt, up one pair of Stairs, (this Informt. lodging
on the Second Floor) go out dressed in a Light coloured Frock
and worsted lap, he locked the Street Door and put the
Key thro' a Hole in the Door (the House being let out into
Tenemts by the said Joseph Bunn< no role > ) That the person (the deced)
who cohabited with such Man whom she apprehended to be his Wife did not go out with him
That on sd Sunday in the Afternoon she this Informant went down
to borrow a Tub of the deced, and knocked at her door, but
the deced not answering she this Informt. peep'd thro' some Crecks
in the Wainscot & saw decds Hair & a petticoat close to her
Neck, Of which shewentinformed her Husband, who apprhend
ing no Harm, desired her not to disturb the Lodger (meaning the
deced) but to make Shift with her own Tub, She says that she observed that
the door of deced's Room was locked but no Key therein, that
she heard no noise or Disturbance And that she knows not the
Name of the Psons so lodging on the first Floor, they having
been there Gate Short Time.

This Informt. the said John Pearson< no role > Saith to the same Effect as
his wife and further saith that he heard the said man who lodged
in the Same House with him up one pair of Stairs, Kiss his wife
and say went you Speak, that he gave a Sigh, locked the Door
