Depositions taken on the behalf our Sovereign Lord the King at
the Parish of South Mims in the County of Middx the ninth day of
November 1754 touching the Death of one Isaac Emmerton< no role >

Edward Tuffnell< no role > of South Mims in theCounty of Middlesex
Labouror being duty Sworn upon his Oath Saith that on
Wednesday the Sixth day of November & Instant about four of the
clock in the afternoon as this Depont had returned from fetching
[..] Cowes belonging Peter Davy< no role > at the Waggon on and Horses in
south mins he heard a noice in the House of the said Peter Day< no role >
and king into the said House he saw Isaac Emmerton< no role > and
one Henry Mansele< no role > in the kitchen and heard some High Words
between them and saw the said Isaac Emmerton< no role > face Blady
haveing been court by the said Henry Mansele< no role > as this Depont
beleives And this Depond says that he advised the said Henry
Mansole
< no role > to go up to bed and be quite thinking that the Properest
for him being some what in Liquor but the said Henry Mansell
refused to go upon which this Depont. told him he woud falsh
some Body should make him And this Depont further saith that
he then went into the Yard bur a short time and then returned to Cate the Maid to Milk he Cows
and the Maid Servant said to this Deponts. for God sake go after
the Soldier meaning the said Henry Mansell< no role > for he says hel
do Mr. Emmerton a Mischeif or Kill him And this Dept. Saith
he followed the said Henry Mansele< no role > into the Street and saw him Strike the said
Isaac Emmerton< no role > with a Bayenett and Stabb him in the right
breast about seven Inches deep and the said Isaac Emmerton< no role >
then and there instantly dyed.

Jaston Duburgy Jones of the Parish of South mims in the County
of Middx Inn holder being duty sworn upon his Oath Saith that on
the Sixth day of this Instant November about five a Clock in the
afternoon being in his own House about twenty Yards from the
House of Peter Davy < no role > and hearing a Noice he went out into the
Street and Perceiving it was in the House of the said Peter
