Middx Yeom Maketh Oath & Saith That this
Dept. being at Smith Field Markett onthe Friday
the 20th. day of Sepr. last the saw one William
Hall
< no role > who is Servant as this Dept. beleives to
John Man< no role > of Bosgrave in Bed Fordshire low [..]
who then had in the said Markett 10 Cowswell
their Claves & one with Calfe And this Dept
Saith that he saw Joseph Walter< no role > one of
the Inspectors for the County of Middx buy
of the sd Wm. Call< no role > 7 Cows & Calves part
of the sd eleven Cows & Calves & one Mr Hyett
bought 3 more of ye sd Cows & Calves that
the Friday following the said Hyett told this Depont
yt. ye Saturday after he had Purchased the said Cows
one was ken ill Wth. the Distemper Wd. now rages
among the Cattle & on Monday after the other two
were also seired that two died & one recouvered
That Hyett then said I am sorry I Paid for them
for I am informed that the said Man had ye Distem
per among his Cattle before he remouved the above
eleven out of Bed ford shire into this County

And this Depont. Further says that he was att
Mr. Strettons on or abt. Ptmass was Twelve month
when either twenty [..] or twentytwoone of Mr Strettons
Cows were seired wth. the Distemper that the sd. Walker
was sent for & that he saw the said Walker hit there
of the sd. inferted Cows one & two of them another
time on the Head wth. his Whip or stick & then go away
&hasdid not Killed them that some of the sd Cows have
lived two or three Days after & remembers two lived
