At the General Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the County
of Middx at Hicks Hall in St.John Street in the County aforesaid by adjournment on
Thursday the twelfth day of September in the twenty eighth year of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role > George
Errington
< no role > John Dekewer< no role > William Withers< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows Justices of our
said Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and
determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed in the same County.

Upon hearing of the Appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
Parish of St. Giles in the Fields in the County of Middx against an Order or pass Warrant
under the Hands and Seals of Benjamin Cox< no role > and John Fielding< no role > Esqrs . two of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the City and Liberty of Westminster in the said County (one whereof
being of the Quorum) bearing date the tenth day of August last whereby Winifred
Baker
< no role > aged fifteen years Daughter of William Baker< no role > Deceased by Winifred< no role >
Wife was removed and conveyed from the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields in the
said County to the said Parish of St. Gilesin the Fields as the Place of her last legal
Settlement And upon hearing of what was alledged by Council for the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Giles in the Fields This Court by consent
of Council for the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint
Martin in the Fields doth allow of the said Appeal and doth vacate and discharge the
aforesaid Order or Pass Warrant of the said two Justices of the Peace and the same
is hereby vacated and discharged accordingly And this Court doth Order that the
Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of St. Giles in the Fields do forthwith convey and
deliver the said Winifred Baker< no role > to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. Martin in the Fields or one of them with a Copy of this Order who are
hereby required to receive the said Winifred Baker< no role > into their Care and to provide for her
as for other poor at the Charge of the Inhabitants of the said Parish of St. Martin in
in the Fields untill they can fee themselves from the Charge thereof by due Course
of Law
