Eighteenth day of the same Month of July at ten of the Clock in the Forenoon to hear
and abide the Judgment and Determination of the same court the said Appeals
and that the Poors Rates above mentioned should be produced before the said Court at
the same time the said General Quarter Session of the Peace being on on the same day
holden by adjournment for the said County of Middx But the said Appealswaswere not then
heard by determined butwaswere by the same Court adjournment untill Friday the Nineteenth
day of the same Month of July And whereas by an Order made by the same Court on
the said nineteenth day of July last it was Ordered that it should be and it was thereby
recommended and referred unto George Errington< no role > George Greene< no role > John Goodchild< no role >
Charles Gould< no role > Philip Dyot< no role > John Crosse< no role > and Edmund Byron< no role > Esquires Justices of the
Peace of this County or any five or more of them to Sumnon before them all such person
as they should think proper and to examine into the Matters above mentioned on
Monday then next at ten of the Clock in the forenoon or on any other day they should
think proper at Hicks Hall aforesaid and to report their Opinion and Observations
thereon to the same Court on the adjournment day of the same Session to wit the
ninth day of September instant And Whereas at the said General Quarter Session
of the Peace holden for the said County by adjournment on the said ninth day of
September instant the said George Errington< no role > George Greene< no role > John Goodchild< no role > Charles
Gould
< no role > Philip Dyot< no role > and John Cross< no role > Esquires did make their Report in Writing to the Court
of the same Session of the Peace whereby it appeareth that the said Committee had not
and duty weighed and considerd all Circumstances and heard the Partys for and against
the said Rates and were mainmously of Opinion that both the said Rates ought to be
quashed and for the Peace and quiet of the said Parish the said Committee begged
leave to recommend the four following Persons to be Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish for the current Year vizt Mr. John Wilson< no role > Mr. Philip Splidt< no role > Mr. Henry
Smith
< no role > and Mr. Francis Robson< no role > and that the Account of what had been collected received
paid or disbursed under the said Rates should be referred to Mr. Justice Mainwaring and
Mr. Justice Scott to settle and adjust the same and that the Ballance (if any there should
be) should be paid over to Mr. Henry Ripp< no role > the Junior Churchwarden according to the
Custom of the said Parish who had already been appointed Expenditor and the said four
New Overseers with he Assistance of the Churchwardens of the said Parish to make
a New Rate or Rates for the two Divisions of the said Parish for the current year
to be confirmed as the Law directs And for the Peace of the said Parish the said
Committee did recommend it to the Inhabitants to allow the Costs and Expences of the said
several Appeals out of the General Stock of Fund of the said Parish And whereas on
the said ninth day of September instant the hearing and determining of the said Appeal
was and status adjourned untill this present General Session of the Peace holden for
the said County and the same was appointed to be heard on this present Thursday the
twelfth day of September instant Now upon hearing of what was alledged by Mr.
Serjeant Hayward and Mr. Stow of Council for the said Appeallants and also by
