Esqr . Coroner for the County of Middlesex on View of the Body of
Elizabeth Webb< no role >

James Gould< no role > of Chiswick Waterman This Deponent Saith that on Sunday
the 18th: Instant about 5 or 6 of the Clock just at the Dusk in the Evening, he
saw the Deced Elizabeth Webb< no role > Lyeing on the Shear near the Lime Kilner in
Hamersmith Says that she was then lyeing on her back with her left hand on
her right breast, and her right hand just below it, And on Searching of her
and pulling up her left hand found that her Arms were tyed together, with a
small piece of Twine or Small cord, further Says that he cut the Cord, and fluns
it away, and then left her

John Webb< no role > Husband of the Deced This Deponent saith that in Thursday the 15th Inst:
about 3 in the Afternoon he met his Wife near St. Dunstans Church Fleetstreet ,
Says he then asked her Betty where are you going, to which she made Answer
I am going a great way, Says that they both went on together towards the Stand ,
and going along he asked her if she would drink, And at the Sign of the she asked a
parliament Stairs they both wont in And had a print of beer, Says then she asked a
person then present which was her best place to take Water to gott to Wandswoth ,
and the person made answer her best way was to go to the house ferry at Chelsea
and there she might perhaps meet with about, And according they went on
together, and when they came to the house ferry [..] he this Deponent
hailed a Boat, And the Waterman Asked where they were bound to, And he told
him to Wandsworth , but he did not care to go there, But another Man just by-
one George Capper< no role > said that he would go and agreed to go for Six pence, to
carry his wife to Wandsworth & afterwards to London , further Says that he this
Depont. then put his Wife into the sd. Boat, and saw them go on untill they
were out of Lights and that She then set at the bottom of the boat, Says that
she was then going to see a Relation at Wandsworth , And that he never saw her
after untill he heard that she was found Drownd and that she was drownd from
out of the Said Coppers Boat
