Parish of St: Paul Shadwell
in the County of Middlesex
and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St: John Wapping
in the said County

Whereas Complaint has been made by you the Church-Wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St: Paul
Shadwell in the said County unto us whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for the County aforesaid,
That Eleanor Peterson and Susannah
Peterson her Daughter aged about Thirty
three Years
lately intruded themselves into your Parish of St Paul Shadwell
there to inhabit as your Parishioners contrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, and are there like to become Charge-
able, if not timely prevented. And Whereas, upon due Examination
and Enquiry made into the Premises, by the Oaths of the
said Eleanor Peterson, and Susannah
Peterson her Daughter
it appears unto us, and we accordingly adjudge, That the said
Eleanor Peterson and Susannah Peterson
are
like to become Chargeable unto the said Parish of St: Paul
Shadwell and that the last legal Place
of Settlement of the said Eleanor Peterson< no role > and
Susannah Peterson< no role > is in the said Parish of
St John Wapping
These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Church-Wardens Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St: Paul Shadwell aforesaid, that you
or some of you, do forwith remove and convey the said Eleanor
Peterson
< no role > and Susannah Peterson her Daughter
from your said Parish of St Paul
Shadwell to the said Parish of St: John
Wapping and them, deliver
to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or one
of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true Copy
thereof; whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's Name
And by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case made, forthwith to receive the
said Eleanor Peterson, and Susannah her
Daughter
into their said Parish and provide for them
as their own Parishioners Given under our Hands and Seals the
Eighteenth Day of October in the Year of our
Lord, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty One
