Elizabeth Jones< no role > Single woman maketh Oath
that her Father Hugh Jones< no role > who dyed about
Sixteen Years since always told her that his
last legall Settlement was in the parish of St.
Andrew Holborn in the Liberty above the
Barrs which he gained by living a Yearly
Servant to one Jones at the Red Lyon the
Corner of Red Lyon Street in the said parish
for several Years before his Marriage, that
her Father and Mother both dyed in the work
house belonging to that parish, where she has
been Maintained several years & came out in
January last, that she this Depont. never was
an Apprentice Servant by the Year for one
whole Year or Householder marry place
that about ten Weeks since she came into
the Parish of St. Giles in the fields but [..]
having no work to do and being reduced to
very great necessity she got into some of the
Ruinous houses in Clumptree Street in the
said parish where she lay about Eight or
ten Nights during which time she was
obliged to ask Charity of Several Persones
for her Subsistances, that as she was
wandring from the said place in Order to go
to the said Parish of St: Andrew Holborn on
or abt. the 24th. day ofNovemr.Septemr . in the Night
time she was Delivered of a Male Bastard
Child in Queen Street in the said Parish
which is baptized by the Name of Henry< no role >
that soon after she was Delivered she was see by the Watchman
& Carryed to the Workhouse belonging to the sd.
Parish, that she doth not know who is the
Father of the sd. Child
