For Uttering Counterfeit Coin

Fountaine Cook< no role > of Clements Inn in the County of Middx Esqr . Sollicitor to his
Majestys Mint & May< no role > the Wife of David Cooper< no role > of the Parish
of St. James Westminster in the said County of Middx severally make Oath & say
& first he said MayCooper for her self saith that her said Husband abt.
a Month since want to Holland on board a Trading Vessel and hath not as Yet
return'd but whose Arrival she this Deponent is in Daily Expectation of from
Credible Information she hath receiv'd touching the same, And verily believes he will
be here at the Next Sessions to be holden at Hicks Hall ready to give Evidence agt.
the said Edward Dempsey< no role > And this Deponent Fountaine Cook for himself
saith that the said David Cooper< no role > as this Deponent Apprehends is a very
Material Witness against the said Edward Dempsey< no role > & that without the benefit of
his Testimony he cannot safely proceed in this prosecution agt him.
