At the General Quarter Sessions of the peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for
the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in the County aforesd. by
Adjournment on Monday the 4th. day of December in the 23d. year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain Etc before William Withers< no role >
John Lawton< no role > Peter Elers< no role > Walter Berry< no role > Esquires & other their Fellows Justices of
of our sd. Lord the King Assigned to keep the peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear
and determine divers Felonies Trespasses & other Misdeeds committed in the same
County

A Petition of Appeal of the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Ingatestone in the County of Essex being this day exhibited unto this Court Setting forth
that by virtue of an Order under the Hands & Seals of Henry Fielding< no role > & Daniel Gach< no role > Esqrs.
two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the Liberty of Westminster in the County of
Middsex bearing Date 22d. day of September last one James Mitchell< no role > and Infant Aged
about 20 Months was removed from the parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of
Middx to the sd. parish of Ingatestone in the County of Essex aforesd. as being the last
legal place of the Settlement of the said James Mitchell< no role > And that the Petitrs. conceiving
themselves to be greatly aggrieved by the Judgments & Determination of the said two
Justices do humbly appeal to this Court for Relief in the premisses Where upon at the
request of the Petitrs. It is ordered by this Court that the benefit of the sd. Petition and
Appeal be saved unto the Petitioners And that the hearing & determing there of be &
the same is hereby adjourned untill the next General Sessions of the peace to be holden
for the County of Middsex And that the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the
sd. Parish of St. Clement Danes & all persons concerned do attend the Court of the said
next general Sessions of the Peace to be holden for the sd. County of Middx by Adjournmt.
on Friday the 8th. day of Decemr. instant at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon to hear &
abide the Judgments & Determination of the same Court touching the sd. petition & Appeal
