The Information of Mr. John Delaporte< no role >
of St. Martins Lane Hair Merchant
taken before me this 18th. April 1749 .

Who being upon Oath says that he was Assaulted upon
Kings Highway near Islington on Tuesday the fourth of this
Instant April about eight of the Clock at Night by three
Men an foot and one on Horseback, Says that they [..]
[..] Presented a Pistol
to his Breast and Snapp'd it at him and immediatly Knocked
him off his Horseand [..] into a Ditch, and after that
feloniously took from him a Gold Watch and about Seven
Shillings, Says that immediatly afterwards they forced him over
a Gate into a Field where they again assaulted him and took
from him a Diamond Ring a Gold Ring, a pair of Christial
Buttons sett in Gold, a pair of Silver Buckles, a pair of Silver
Sparrs, a Wigg, a Whipp, and a Green Velvet Waistcoat,
the Property of this Informt. And this Informt. father saith
that a Man now present who calls himself John Bryan< no role > he verily
beleives to be one of the Persons concerned in Robbing him of
the aforesaid Goods.
