Sir

I am Savour'd with yours of the 15th. Instant this Morning. I Answer'd your
former Latter and was Surpriz'd that any Complaints was made against my Conduct in the
Execution of my Comission tho' I was Satisfied I was Capable of Answering the Most
Malignant Spirit that could Rises against me I was then prevented giving my Presence
agreeable to Your Notice by the Goat, And I am very Sorry that the Same Misfortune
Attends me now, for last Friday I met my Bretheren about Licencing and at Night the
Your return'd, and I can't get on my Shore I am realy the more Concern'd for this Disappointment
because it would certainly have been an Immediate Pleasure to me to have given
my Attendance [..] to Answer to any Accusation that Mr. Mainwaring
can pretend to form or Adeance against me, As I am Assur'd it would give mean
Agreeables Opportunity of meeting with the Approbation of all my Brethan in the
Comission that may be there I need add no more but that I am Obliged to you for
Your kind Notice, And for the Satisfaction of my Brethren with my Humble service
to them I Send you an Accntt. of the Case
