Whereas Complaint has been made by you the Chapell-wardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Said [..] Town of
Uxbridgeunto us whose Hands
and Seals are hereunto set, tow of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
(whereof one is of the Quorum) for theCounty of Middlesex aforesaid,
ThatWilliam James< no role > and Hannah< no role > his wife together
with john< no role > their son about the age of ten Years
lately intrudedthemselvesinto your said [..] Town of
Uxbridge
there to inhabit asParishionerscontrary to the Laws relating to
the Settlement of the Poor, andarethere like to become charge-
able, if not timely prevented: and whereas, upon due Examination
and Enquiry made into the Premises,and also upon the Oath
of the said William James< no role >
it appears unto us, land we accordingly adjudge, That the said
William James< no role > and Hannah his Wifes and John< no role >
their Sonard
like to become chargeable unto the said [..] Town of
Uxbridgeand that the last legal Place
of Settlement of the saidWilliam James< no role > and Hannah his
Wife and Hannah their son [..] is in the Said Parish of
Eton
These are therefore in his Majesty's Name, to order and require you
the said Chapell-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said [..]
Town of Uxbridge in the County of Middlesex aforesaid, that you
or some of you, do forth with remove and convey the saidWilliam
James
< no role > and Hannah his Wife and John their< no role > son
from your said [..] Town of
Uxbridge to the said Parish of Eton in the
County of Buckingham aforesaidandthemdeliver
to the Church-wardens or Overseers of the Poor there, or some or one
of them, together with this our Warrant, or Order, or a true Copy
thereof: whereby they are likewise required in his Majesty's Name,
and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case made, forthwith to receive the
saidWilliam James< no role > and Hannah his Wife and John
their

into their saidParishand provide forthem
as their Own Parishioners-Given under our Hands and Seals, the
SeventeenthDay ofdecemberin the Year of our
Lord, One Thousand seven Hundred andforty Seven
