Warwick again made Oath as before & Mr Horton the Justices Clerk
attending with the original Information, swore that Bygrave
was the Man who made by the Name of Spruce the acting Justice
being about to commit By grave to Newgate he freely confessed
the whole Fact acknowledged the Name John Spruce subscribed
to the Information to be his own Hand writing & desired Favour
in regard he had been drawn in by Mrs Nicholls who had an
influence over him of such a Nature that it was not safe for him
to refuse her any thing, but his confession was not reduced into
Writing because he refused to Sign any.

We have no positive Evidence agt: Mrs: Nicholls except Warwick who
has been pilloryed for perjury but we presume Mr Morris the
Justice & Mr Horton his Clerk will be able to prove that Mrs Nicholls
was the Person that came with Bygrave when he made the
Information agt. Frankland & passed for his sister & we can
shew that she fled from Justice upon a Warrants being granted agt:
her We can prove by Keate (one of the under Turnkeys) that upon his
saying to Mrs Nicholls that Frankland would Ruin her she
said don't fear, for I will make him sup sorrow by spoonfulls &
Frankland shall be far enough removed but I can do nothing
till the Assizes.

It can be proved that she had been Tampering with Several Persons
to Swear a Robery agt: Frankland in order to remove him
particularly Hogg, John Freeman< no role > , John Ditcher< no role > and
Jane Ditcher< no role > his reputed Wife

All which Circumstances putt together will (we hope) be
sufficient to convict her of the Conspiracy charged in the
Indictments annext.
