Act required to provide and furnish the same accordingly And Whereas it
is Menconed in the said Act that the respective Sumes of Money by the said
Act Appointed to be paid to the Constable by the Officers demanding such
Carriages are not in Many Cases sufficient to Answer the Charge and
Expences of Providing the same in so much that the said Constables are frequently
at great Charge. Over & above What is reced by them of the sd. Officers to
the Great Burthen of the Township of which he is Constable or else the
persons performing such Carriages are grievously & prossed for remedy Where [..]
And that the sd. [..] Overplus Charge may be born by each County or
Riding at the General Charge of such County or Riding It is by the said
Act further Euarted that the Treasurer or Treasurers of each respective
County or Riding Shall without fee or reward pay unto such Constable or
Constables all & every such reasonable sume or sumes of Money so by
him or them paid or laid out for such Carriages over & above what w [..]
or Ought to have been paid by the Officer requireing Such Carriages out
of the Publick Stock of such County or Riding according to Such rates Orders
Rules & Direccons as the sd. Justices of the peace in their Quarter Session
Assembled within their respective [..] Jurisdiction Shall from time to time
during the Continuance of the sd. Act make Direct & Appoint (which
Orders Shall be made without fee or reward) regard being always had to
the Season of the Year & the length & Condicon of the Ways by & tho' wit
Such Carriages are to Travel This Court (upon Consideraion of such part of the
aforesd. Act of Parliamt. as is above recited) being of Opinion that the Constables
in this County of Middx will be likely Very Often to be at Great Charges over
and above What will be by them received of the sd. Officers Demanding
such Carriages as aforesaid and that is is requisite & Necessary that
Sufficient rates and Allowances Sho.d be Settled. & Ascertained in Ord [..]
to Satisfy & pay unto the sd. Constables such overplus Charges on account of Such
Carriages Doth for that purpose Order that it be and it is hereby recommended
& referrred unto the Commitee of his Majestys Justices of the Peace Appointed
to state & Adjust the publick Accounts of the sd. County & in particular
