To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Paul
Shadwell in the County of Middlesex

Whereas on Monday the twenty in the day of November last past you or one of you were
Served with a Copy of an Order of Adjournment made at the General Quarter Session of
the peace held for the County of Middx at Hicks Hall in St. John Street by Adjournment
Monday the eleventh Day of October last purporting that the hearing & Determining
of the matter of Appeale between the Parish of Thames Ditton in the County of
Surrey and your said parish of St. Paul Shadwell in the said County of Middlesex
concering the last legal Settlement of William Page< no role > and Anne Page< no role > his
Wife was Adjourned untill the next General Session of the peace to be
holden for the said County of Middx by Adjournment on Tuesday next being
the Seventh Day of December instant Now take Notice that the Officers
of Thames Ditton Do not Intend to Try the Merits of their Appeale at
the Session at Hicks Hall on Tuesday next but Do hereby Countermand
the notice already given for that purpose And you are to take notice-
that they will apply to the said Court of Session on Tuesday next (or so
soon after as Councell Can be heard) to Crave a further respite of the
Tryall of the said Appeale untill a further Session the said William

< no role > being now a Lunatick and in capable of giving his Evidence
