The King agt: Coole and other

Henry Betts< no role > one of the Porters to the Honourable Society
of Lincolns Inn maketh oath that he this Depont. Did on Saturday
last the 21st. of this Instant Febry Enquire of Thomas Barker< no role > Barber
and Perriwig maker (who is Witness for the King agt. the said Deft
as this Depont is Informed and believes) where James Alt< no role > Carpenter lived
or might be spoke with and the said Barker then sold this Dept. he
believed that he might see him or be informed of him at Mr. Church's a
Carpenter in or near St. John Street or to that Effect and this Dept
Saith that he thereupon imediatly went to ye yard of the sd. Mr. Church
and enquired amongst the workmen there for ye said James alt.
when & where he this Dept. was informed by ye said Workmen that the
said James All was gone over Seas and this Dept. further saith
that he thereupon imediatly went to the House where the said
James all & his Family lately Dwell Situate in Ref Lyon Court
Charker House Lane and finding the said House shutt up he Enquir'd
amongst the Neighbours if James Alt was gone from thence
& if they could informe this Dept where the said alt could be
found upon wch this Dept: was informed that ye said [..]
was gone from the said House out this Dept could not gett any
Informacon whereto fin him and this Dept. further Saith
that he thereupon put & left under ye Door of the said late
Dwelling house of the said James [..] a true Copy of the
Notice of Tryall hereunto annexed
