At the General of Oyer & Terminer of our Sovereign
the King holden for the County of Middx at Hicks hall in St. John
Street in the County aforesaid on Monday the thirtyeth day
of June in the ninth yeare of the reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the second King of Great Britain Etc

It is Ordered byUpon motion this day made unto this Court
by Mr. Theed of Councell for William Smith< no role > who Stands
bound by Recognizance to try his traverse at this present
Sessions Upon an Indictment against him for making an
assault Upon Margaret Merchant with intent to ravish
her, and also for making an assault Upon her generally,
It was alledged that the said William Smith< no role > had given
notice to try his said traverse at this present Sessions
but had not mentioned in his Said notice any particular
day of the Sessions, It was prayed And this Court doth
accordingly Order that the said William Smith< no role > be at liberty
to try his said traverse on Thursday next at ten of the
clock in the forenoon, And notice of this Order and of
the said triall is forthwith to be given to the said
Margaret Merchant,

Take Notice that I William Smith< no role > the Defendant in
the Cause will try the traverse of the Indictment prferred
against me on you prosection on Thursday next at Ten of the
