Thomas Taylor< no role > of the parish of St Catherines near the
Tower of Land maketh Oath that he this Depont. was not
Served with a Coppy of the Order of Sessions hereto-
annexed (dated the 18th. of this Instant January 1727
whereby this Depont. is Ordered to Attend this Honble
Court this day at Nine of the Clock) untill last might
between Eight and nine by which means this Deponent
is Incapable to answere theAllegacons in thesaid
Order by reason his Materiall Wittnesses being out of
the Way vizt Robert Maxwell< no role > andJohn William Laxon< no role >
being both of them now on Board his Matyes Shipp
the Delphin wth. Shipp now rides at the No [..]
River of Thames forty miles Distance fromthe River
of Thames
London they being under a Necessity ofbeing
being there as Tidesmen on duty &receive their moneys
the said Shipp being now paying off there Without whose
Testimony this Depont. cannot proceed to make his
defence agt. the sd peticon And this Peticon Depon saith that
that said Maxwell and Laxon as he beleives & hath been
informed will not return to London yett these five dayes
