To the Kings most excellent Majesty

The humble Address of your Majesties Justices of the peace
for the County of Middlesex assembled in their Generall Quarter
Sessions held at Hicks hall by adjournmt orthe 10th day of July 1727

Most gracious Sovereign
Wee your Majesties most faithfull and legall Subjects the Justices of the Peace
of this County
beg leave, in the most dutyfull manner, to give your Majesty this publick Testimony,
of our sorrow and Concerne for the Deeth of our late Gracious Sovereigne, and
of the Satisfaction and pleasure, with which our Hearts are fill'd, on your
Majesties Accession to the Imperiale Town of these Kingdomes. wee doe
with the Sincerest Joy, congratulate your Majesty, wee own and be cognize
your most just and rightfull title, and wee find ourselves inexpressibly
happy, under the Government of a Prince, possess of [..] all the vertues, wch.
can adorne the shrone, or bless his Subjects. A Prince, who knowes,
that the wellfare of the people is the cheife, and the most noble End of
Government, and that true Glory is only to be acquir'd by doing Good
to Mankind. Your Majesty is already invested our Sovereigne,
with all the perogatives necessary to these great Ends, and you will find
yourselfe under noe Restraints from our Lawes and Constitution to which
you are not antecedently confin'd by your [..] Innare Goodness, and
generous Sentiments in favour of your Subjects, soe graciously expressed in
your be all declarations fatefaithin Councel is [..] in Parliament [..] The
Assurances wee have thereby received of your Paternall Affection, you
strict Regard to vertue and Justice, your [..] [..]
