P adjorn Jovis 16o. die Januar 1723

Whereas in the Report of the Comittee of his Maties.
Justices of the peace for [..] exaiening & settleing
the accompts of the Trears & other persons accomptable
to the Sessions of the peace of this County Mention is
made that in the accompt of the Lord William
Powlett
< no role > & John Ellis< no role > Esqr. of St. James's Esqr . Trears
of the Toll money collected in the Hay markett there
is charged the Sume of ten pounds P ann for books
paper & Mr. Philip Stothard< no role > Clerke to the Trears who examines
weekly the Collector's accompts & posts them in a
book, and that the Same is a new article notnever
allowed or charged before by any former Trears,
which the sd. Comittee leave to be allowed or
disallowed as shall be thought convenient,
Now upon informacon given unto this Court that
Mr.the sd.Mr. Philip Stothard< no role > is of great Service
in exaiening & posting in a book the sd Collectors
accots. as aforesaid and in takeing care of the said
Haymarkett, This Court being Satisfyed of the
truth thereof Is of opinion And doth according by order that the sd. Philip
Stothard
< no role > be continued in the aforesaid service
for the space of one yeare comenceing from Easter
now next ensueing, at ten pounds P ann as a salary
for such his service, and that he be alsoe allowed
after the rate of ten pounds P ann for his service for the
time past,
