To his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
at their General Quarter Sessions of the Peace now holden ad Hicks
Hall in St John Street in and for the Said County.

This is to Certify that in pursuance of an Act of Parliament made
in the Second year of the Reign of our Late Sovereign Lord and Lady King
William and Queen Mary intituled and Act for paving and cleansing
the Streets in the Cities of London and Westminster , and Suburbs and
Liberties thereof, and out Parishes in the County of Middlesex and in the
Burrough of Southwark and other places within the Weekly Bills of
Mortalily in the County of Surrey and for regulating the Markets [..]
mentioned We Isaac Tillard< no role > and D'Oyly Michel< no role > Esqrs: two of his
Majesties Justices of the peace for the County of Middlesex and both
inhabiting within the Tower Division in the Said County have said
and inspected part of a Street called Brick lane (lately bulit) lying in
the Hamblett of Bethnall Green in the parish of St Dunstan Stepney ats
Stebunheath in the Said County of Middlesex and found that as much
thereof as lay on the East Side of a House and Wall now in the Occupa-
-tion of Peter Fromaget< no role > Strongwater Setter containing in Length
from the North End of the Said Wall of the said Peter Fromaget unto the
South East Corner of his House Sixty Six foot and from thence to the
Channell running out of another new Street called Sclater Street in the
Hamblett of Bethnall Green fifteen foot in all eighty one foot or there
abouts and in Breadth from the House of the Said Peter Fromaget unto
the Denter Stone or Middle of the Street about fifteen foot and an half
lay unpaved, and by reason of the Itt States thereof is now almost
unpassable to his Majesties Subjects especially for those whose occasions
requires them to goe that way with Carts or other Carriages, and-
the Inhabitants of the said, Brick lane opposite to the side of the House
and Wall of the Said Peter Fromaget< no role > have Suffer'd very much by
having their pavement broke down and destroyed there being none
on the other Side to Support and uphold the Same which they would
now willingly repair and make good again if the said peter Fromaget< no role >
would pave against them We also observed that as much of the said
Sclater Street as lay before a Yard belonging to the Adjourning House which
is now in the Occupation of William Farmer< no role > Carpenter and opposite
to the front of the House of the said Peter Fromaget< no role > lay unpaved
containing in length from the West End of the Said Yard unto the East
End of the Same thirty foot, and in Breadth from the said Yard unto
the Channell or Middle of the said Sclater Street fifteen foot. We
