Upon informacon given unto this Court by Joseph Woster< no role > Gentl high
Constable of the Tower Division in this County that he hath in
pursuance of severall Ordersof Generall Quarter Sessions of
the peace holden for the sd. County & other
& precepts to him
directed issued forth his precepts for the raiseing of severall
sumes of money assessed upon the parish of Trinity Minories,
Old Artillery ground, Liberty of the Tower within, & Liberty of the
Tower without within the Tower Liberty in this County for
the passing of Vagrants, repaire of the house of Correccon at
Clerkenwell, repaire of the publique bridges of this County,
releife of maimed Soldiers & Mariners, for the Marshalsea
Kings bench & hospitalls & on accompt of Severall robberys
comitted within the Hundred of Ossulston in this County, [..]
But that Richard Mount< no role > Gentl high Constable of the Tower
Liberty aforesaid & the Inhitants of the respective places above
menconed doe refuse to raise & pay the same, on prtence that
they being Inhitants resideing within the sd, Tower Liberty are
exempted from paymt. & ought not to be charged therewith, soe
that by non paymt. of the sd. assesmts. the sd. mr. Woster is rendred
