assessed towards releife of the poor, It was therefore prayed
by the Appellants Councell that the Appellant may be
absolutely discharged from paying any money towards
releife of the poor of the said parish, Whereto the Councell
for the Overseers of the poor of the said Parish alledged
that the said Appellant is in much better circumstances
than he pretends, and that he holdeth a tenemt. [..] and
stables in the said Parish of a considerable yearely
value & ought to stand charged towards releife of
the said poor, This Court (Upon examinacon of
severall persons upon Oath touching the premisses
and upon long debate of the matter & heareing of what
was further alledged on either side) Doth think fit
that and Order that the said Appellant [..]
[..] be charged & assessed after the rate of sixteen pounds
P annm & not higher in respect of the tenemts. by him holden in
the said parish, towards releife, of the poor of the
same parish, And that he doe pay Such assessmt. accordingly [..] to the Overseers of
the poor of the sd, parishthe moneys already assessed an to be assessed upon
him accordingly
.
