William Mayor< no role > Gent maketh Oath that he this Depont did on Munday
the Twenty fourth of this Instant Febry goe to the Dwelling house of Thomas Jones< no role >
in White horse Yard in the parish of St. Clements Danes where this Dept. was
Informed that Hester Collins< no role > then Lodged and did then and there Enquire for the sd
Hester Collins< no role > and was Informed by Mrs. Jones Wife of the said Thomas Jones< no role >
that the said Hester Collins< no role > was then within but that she could not be Spoke with
Whereupon this Dept. left a Notice in Writing with the said Mrs. Jones directed to
the said Hester Collins< no role > and Essex Weller< no role > who promised to Deliver the same to
the said Hester Collins< no role > which Notice was in the Words following Vizt.

Take notice that James Spooner< no role > & Mary< no role > his Wife intend to Appear at ye Sessions
of the peace to be holden at Hicks's hall in St. John Street in and for the County of
Middx on Thursday next being the 27th day of this Instant Febry at Nine of the
Clock in the forenoon of the same day then and there to try their Traverse upon an
Indictment by Hester Collins< no role > & Essex Weller< no role > in the name of Edward Collins< no role > as Prosecutor
there preferred agt. them Dat the 24th day of Febry 1717 . And this Depont further
Saith that when he delivered Such Notice to the said Mrs. Jones as aforesaid he
alsoe Enquired for the said Weller and that a person then present acknowledged
himselfe to this Dept. to be the said Weller, That thereupon this Dept. acquainted
the said Weller with the contents of the said Notice, That this Dept. since called
upon the said Mrs. Jones who Informed this Dept. that she had delivered the sd.
Notice to the said Hester Collins< no role > , This Depont. further Saith that on Tuesday the
Twenty fifth of this Instant Febry he this Depont. was at the house of Mrs.
Browne being the Signe of the Castle near Rotherhith Staires at which place
this Depont. was Informed that Prosecutor Edward Collins< no role > usually Lodged
when in the port of London with his Ship to Enquire after him the sd Edward
Collins
< no role > and was then and there Informed that the sd. Edward Collins< no role > went to be a
abt. October last and that he was bound for Ginnea & is not Yett returned
