for ye County of Middx.

The humble Peticon of John

Giles without Cripplegate in ye
said County.

Sheweth

That your Peticoner was Sumoned to attend
this Court this present Sessions to Serve on ye.
Grand Jury.

That your Peticoner being an Ignorant person
did not attend pursuant to his Summons.
And for as much as your Petitioner being
by trade a Cooper and keeping a Shopp
and having noe body at all to Manage
his busynesse in his Absence would have.
leaded to his Utter ruin to have Attended.
That yor petitr: for his Non appearance is fined
Fourty Shillings which by reason of his.
poverty he is not able to pay And being
heartily sorry for ye said Offence and
willing to serve next Sessions

Yor Petr humbly prays yor Worspps
will be pleased to Remitt the said
Fine

And yor petr Shall Ever pray Etc
