Whereas it appeareth unto us two of his Maties. Justices
of the Peace for the said County (Quorum unus) by the
Complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of St. James Clerkenwell in the said
County That Elizabeth< no role >
the Wife
of James Henley< no role >
is
lately come and intruded into the said Parish of St
James Clerkenwell
Endeavouring to gain a Settlement
these contrary to Law and is likely to become a great
Charge to the said Parish (if not speedily prevented)
And Whereas upon the Examinacon of the said
Elizabeth Henley< no role >
taken upon Oath it appeareth unto
us That the said James Henley< no role >
her said husband
was last legally Settled in the Parish of St. Martin
in the Fields
in the said County and that he hath
not since obtained any legal Settlement else where
Therefore wee the said Justices upon the proof
aforesaid and other Circumstances Doe Adjudge
and Deem the place of the last legal Settlement
of the said James Henley< no role >
to be in the said Parish
of St. Martin in the Feild
in the said County and
whether the said Elizabeth< no role >
his said wife
ought
by Law to be sent
These are therefore in his Maties: Name
strictly to charge and Comand you and every of you forthwith
upon sight hereof the Remove and Convey the said
Elizabeth Henley< no role >
from and out of the said Parish of St
James Clerkenwell
in and to the said Parish of St.
Martin in the Feilds
and to deliver her (together with
this Precept) to the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor there or to some or one of them who are
hereby required to receive And provide for her accordering
to Law Hereof faile not at yor. Parills Given under
