Upon reading the peticon within written & hearing of what was alledged
touching the premisses within menconed It is Ordered by this Court that it be
And It is hereby recomended & referred unto Thomas Sewell< no role > D'oyly Michel< no role >
& White Wickham< no role > Esqrs . three of his Maties. Justices of the peace for this County or
any two of them to peruse & inspect the within menconed accompt of the petrs. and
see what is due to them upon the ballance thereof, and alsoe to peruse and
inspect the accompts of the present Scavengers of the high street precinct within
the parish of St. Mary Whitechappell in this County (who are required to attend the Sd. Referrees for that purposes touching all Moneys by them
reced by vertue of the Rate or Rates made for raiseing of moneys for defraying
the expences of & paymt. of Scavengers Rakers & such like Officers wages
for cleansing the streets lanes & alleys in the sd. precinct and carrying away the
dirt ashes filth & soyle out of the same, and how the said present Scavengers have
disposed of the moneys soe by them reced, and if to examin if any & what money is now
remaining in their hands, and what is yet uncollected on the sd Rate or Rates, And
to certify their opinions to which the premisses unto his Maties. Justices of the peace at the next
Generall Sessions of the peace to be held for this County.
