the insufficiency thereof, Now upon producing of
a rate made for releife of the poor of the sd parish
which appeares to be dated on the seventeenth
day of January last and to be signed by John
Hudson
< no role > & John Clarke< no role > Churchwardens of the said
parish but not by any of the overseers of the poor
thereof, And upon hearing of what was insisted
on by Mr. Serjt Whittaker of Councell for the said
Appellant & alsoe by the Churchwardens of the said
parish who alledged that they were not served with
a coppy of the said appeale & order of this Court
Untill Yesterday and were not now soe well
prepared to make their defence in the premisses
as they could have been in case they had had more
early notice of the said appeale, It is ordered by
this Court that the hearing & determining of the
matter of the said appeale be adjorned Untill
Tuesday the one & thirtieth day of may next at
eight of the clock in the forenoon, and that the said
Appellant & alsoe the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor of the said parish & all other persons
concerned doe then attend this Court at Hickshall
in St. John street in this County to heare & abide
the Judgmt. & determinacon of this Court touching
the said appeale, And the said Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor are hereby required to
produce the said rate before this Court at the same
time.
