To The Worshipfull His Majties
Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex at Hicks's Hall

The Humble Peticon of Elizabeth Johnson< no role >

Sheweth

That yor. Peticonr. abt. a Month since intermarried
with One Charles Johnson< no role > who in less than a Week after beat &
abvsd yor. Peticonr. & on Fryday the Fifteenth instant drew his
Sword & held it to her breast threatning then to Murder Her
And has since declared to several that He will Murder Yor.
Peticonr. whenever he shall see her Whereupon. Yor. Peticonr.
swore the Peace against Him before the Recordr. of London &
had his Warrant against Him. And the said Charles Johnson< no role >
is now Under Bayle to Answer for the said Fact.

That the said Charles Johnson< no role > has since his said
Marriage received of yor. Peticonrs. Effects Upwards of Four
hundred pounds which he has squander'd & made away with
leaving Yor. Peticonr. destitute.

That Yor Peticonr. delivered to her Mother Amy
Hutchins
< no role > & to her Sister Anne Hutchins< no role > a China Punch
Bowle & Dish to take Care of for Yor. Peticonr.

That the said Charles Johnson< no role > has preferr'd a Bill
of Indictmt. against yor. Peticonrs said Mother & Sister on
prsence that they robb'd Him of the said, Punch Bowle & Dish
which were deliver'd to them by yor. Peticonr as aforesd. & Yor.
Peticonr. has them now in her Custody.

Yor. Peticonr. therefore prays yor. Worships
will be pleased to continue ye said Charles Johnson< no role >
upon Recognizance for ye aforesaid Abuses & take
into consideracon ye Indictment so as aforesaid
exhibited on ye prtended Robbery.

And Yor. Peticonr. shall ever pray Etc
