And William Conne< no role > Esqrs Two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the Sd
County, (one whereof is of the Quor) Inhabiting in or near the parish of St.
Martin in the Feilds in the County aforesaid, And made according to the
Form of the Statue in that Case made and Provided concerning a Male
Bastard Child, lately Come of the Body of Mary Marshall< no role > of the Parish of
St. Martin in the Feilds , And delivered within the said Parish, of such [..]
Male Bastard Child, which Child has since it's Birth been chargable to the
sd. Parish, as the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor thereof have
Complained

Wee the sd: Justices upon Examination of the Cause
and Circumstances taken upon Oath before UR, and Due Consideration
thereof being likewise had by UR Wee do therefore Adjudge and declare
John Copeland< no role > Victualler of Clerkenwell Green , within the sd: County to be
the Putative Father of the sd: Bastard Child born of the Body of the said
Mary Marshall< no role > as aforesaid, And farther Wee do hereby Order, that the
said John Copeland< no role > upon sight hereof (a True Copy being first
delivered to him) Payer Cause to be paid unto the Churchwardens or
Overseers of the Poor of the sd: Parish of St: Martin in the Feilds , The
sume of Forty Shillings for and towards the Monthly Lying Inn on
Laying of the sd: Mary Marshall< no role > , And towards of the Charge that they
sd: Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor was of Necessity put unto
or upon account of the sd: Male Bastard Child as aforesaid mentioned

And Lastly Wee do Order that the said John Copeland< no role > do forthwith
give Sufficient Security to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the sd: Parish for the true performance of this our Order
Otherwise to find Sufficient Sureties for his personal Appearance [..]
the next Generall Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be held for the said
Liberty, Given under our Hands and Seales the Sixtenth day of
Auqust in the first Yeare of the Reign of our Soveregin Lord Ge [..]
