female bastard in her lying in & other necessary they
& expences thereby accrewed, And alsoe adjudged the
sd Samuel Bolton< no role > to pay or cause to be paid weekly
& every week from the day of the date of the sd Order
unto the Churchwarden & Overseers of the poor of the
part of the sd parish of St. Dunstans Stepney called
sd hamlett of Wapping Stepney & their Successors for
the time being or to some one of them for &
towards the maintenance & bringing us & Keeping of
the sd female bastard child the sume of two shillings
& six pence of lawfull money of Great Britain P
week, and the paymt. thereof to continue soe long as
the sd female bastard child should be a charge to the
sd hamlett of Wapping Stepney, Except the sd Samuel
Bolton
< no role > should otherwise discharge the sd hamlett of
Wapping Stepney of such charge & further as shall
in any manner orwise accrew there unto by reason or
meanes of the sd female bastard child, And did
Order the sd Samuel Bolton to give Sufficient Security
to the sd Churchwarden & Overseers of the poor of
that part of the sd parish of St. Dunstans Stepney
called the hamlett of Wapping Stepney for the due
Pformance of the sd Order, And upon hearing of
what was insisted on by Councell for the Churchwardn.
& Overseers of the poor of thatpar ofpart of the said
parish of St. Dunstans Stepney called the hamlett of
Wapping Stepney and alsoe by Councell for the sd
Samuel Bolton, and on Examinacon of the sd Martha Paine < no role > & Severall
witnesses upon oath touching the premisses, This
Court is of opinion that the Sd Samuel Bolton< no role > is
the Father of the sd female bastard child, and
doth therefore disallow of the sd appeale, and
doth ratify & confirm the aforesaid Order of the
said two Justices of the peace, and require the sd
Samuel Bolton < no role > to yeild due obedience thereunto.
