Information upon oath of John Griffin< no role > of Agmondesham in the
County of Bucks Husbandman , taken this twenty fourth day of
December. Anno Dom. 1709

This Informans deposeth, that on wednesday last, being the twenty first day
of this Instant Decem , between the hours of three & four in the afternoon,
as he was travelling on the road, a litle westward of the village or towne of
Ealing , a certain person (a proper man, aged about forty years, with a lightich
wigg, with boots & spuorrs, & whipp in his hand) came over a stile in the said
road, & suddenly laid hold on this Deponts. reines of his horse, which Nopt this
Depont. in the said read; Then the said person, askt this Depont. what mony he
had about him, this Depont. askt him, why, & the said person answerd, he
wanted mony & there, by his maker, he would have it, this Depont. reply'd,
he thought, he jetted, the said person returnd this answer, he must have it
but he would returne it, Upon which this Depont. deliver'd (being then in
great fear) all the mony, he had about him, which was, as he thinks, about
twenty shillings, & then the said person returnd this Depont. five six pences,
& there penny worth of farthings, & askt this Depont. where he lived, who Sold
him his name & habitation. After this, this Depont. went to John Hickson< no role > ,
one of the Headbourghs of the Parish of Ealing aforesaid, & told him what
had happend, describ'd the said Person, & desir'd him to search & look after
the said person.
